Mission Statement

The mission of the Extendicare Foundation is to improve the quality of life for people in communities served by Extendicare Health Services, Inc. This goal is accomplished by providing funding in three broad areas:

• Research, education and informational services relative to Alzheimer’s Disease;

• Programs with replication value that improve the quality of life or quality of care within nursing and rehabilitation centers;

• Education programs for caregivers in long term care.

In helping others, we shall help ourselves, for whatever good we give out completes the circle and comes back.
