Wisconsin Comprehensive Memory Program

Midwest Initiative for Dementia Screening (MINDS) Project provides regional dementia screening, improving early detection of dementia in Wisconsin and improving Alzheimer’s awareness through community education.

This research grant was for predicting susceptibility to falls in older adults to prevent unintentional falls. The objective was to investigate the potential of using a new technology that mimics conditions preceding an unintentional fall to determine why some elders who do well during clinical balance tests suffer unintentional falls at home and in the environment, while elders of the same age group do not.
